Donate to the Discovery Museum at the Powerhouse

The Discovery Museum at the Powerhouse is a community project that depends on your generosity to succeed. The museum is pursuing matching grant funds, so community participation is necessary to help us increase our fund raising capacity, to keep the project moving forward, and to demonstrate local support.

The Discovery Museum at the Powerhouse is an expansion project of the Children's Museum of Durango, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations to the museum are tax deductible. Donations of $250 or more are eligible for a Colorado Enterprise Zone tax credit, which entitles donors to a 25% CO state income tax credit for cash donations and 12.5% credit for securities or other non-cash donations. When combined with the Federal deduction, Colorado donors can receive a greater than 50 percent income tax deduction for their contributions.
