DaddyFest 2011

What a blast! The Seventh Annual DaddyFest street party on June 18, 2011, was a huge success.  The event raised $42,000 for the museum's operating fund. See you next summer on Main. Until then, a little video memory:

This year (2011) was our most exciting yet, underscored by the long-awaited opening of the Discovery Museum in the historic Powerhouse on the banks of the Animas River. DaddyFest's Main Avenue event kicks off summer family fun with live music, food court and beer garden, micro golf tournament, and scientific craft and activities booths. It’s all to celebrate Dad!

DaddyFest event is the fundraiser for Discovery Museum operations and programs, including:

Discovery Kids (early childhood play and learning center)
Sudden ScienceTM (after school science clubs)
Solar Roller (mobile discovery lab)
