- Welcome + Thank You: Claire Bradshaw, Discovery Museum Executive Director; and Bill Luthy, Discovery Museum Fundraising Chairman
- Mayor Christina Rinderle
- Tribal Representative, Southern Ute Indian Tribe
- Ribbon Cutting: Animas High School Robotics Team
10am: Museum opens (free admission all today!)
10am-2pm: Carver Family Brewing Company Stage and Plaza activities, including:
- Bubble Science with Kalidescope Krystal (Discovery Kids ages 0-4)
- Ashiatsu Massage Demonstrations with Christine Schumann of Barefoot Bodyworks
11am: Ballet Folklorico performs
11:30am: Animas City Slackers performs
12pm: Lunchtime! Free lunch provided by Manna
Why: Because YOU did it! The Durango Discovery Museum is finally open after more than a decade of planning, pleading, blood, sweat, tears, and dreams. We couldn't have done it without our community, and we want to celebrate and appreciate this achievement with you.
And the fun continues Saturday on Main Street on June 18 for our seventh annual DaddyFest.
