Bio: Eric Schweikardt
Eric Schweikardt, Design Director at Modular Robotics, is a deliberate comprehensivist with a background in architecture, computation, and design. Eric spent a year in post-doctorate research at the Cornell Computational Synthesis Lab working on self-reconfiguring structures. His Ph.D. is from the Computational Design Lab at Carnegie Mellon University where he worked on construction kits, modular robotics, and evolutionary algorithms for design.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2011 we were the privileged hosts of young robotics entrepreneur, Eric Schweikardt, founder of Modular Robotics in Boulder, Colorado.
Eric demonstrated "Cubelets," Modular Robotic's newest robot invention and the company's first robotic kits.
Come explore Eric's Cubelets, then get crazy and build some robots that drive around on tabletops; respond to light, sound, and temperature; and have surprisingly life-like behavior. Best of all, no programming is required.
The schedule of events was:
- 2-4pm: Informal question-and-answer period and a presentation on programming
- 4-5pm: A rockin' demonstration of Eric's cool robots
- 5-6pm: Robotics workshop and post Q&A session
The event was FREE and took place in the Mensch Spark Shop inside the Powerhouse.
