Volunteer - Become a Spark

Current Volunteer Opportunities

WinterCamp128.jpgBecome a volunteer “Spark” and help deliver hands-on science learning in a fun environment that promises big laughs, big discoveries, and a touch of mayhem. Please use the contact information on the right to inquire about any of these opportunities.

 

Floor "Sparks"

Be the face of the museum, facilitating memorable experiences for visitors by spending two hours (or more) a week on the museum floor.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability and desire to work with people of all ages
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Schedule and shift flexibility
  • Solid understanding of facilitation techniques
  • Ability to manage crowds of visitors
  • Strong ability to follow and explain instructions
  • Able to lift 50lbs

 Greeter "Sparks"

You’re part of the first impression we make on our thousands of visitors, greeting visitors, school groups, and tour buses. You’ll also assist Visitor Care Techs with a variety of interesting projects.
