How to Get Here

BY CAR The museum and our complimentary parking is accessed via the 12th Street and Camino Del Rio intersection. (Do NOT park on or around west 14th Street or you might be towed.)

BY BOAT Float the Animas River and tie up your craft just after the Pedestrian Swinging Bridge (located at 14th Street).

BY FOOT You have three options:

  1. Via the 14th Street and Main Avenue intersection, walk west toward the river, down the embankment, and to the museum.
  2. Via the Animas River Trail, we are located immediately adjacent to the trail between 12th and 14th streets.
  3. transitlogo1.gifRide the Animas Transit aka "The T" to Buckley Park (13th Street and Main), walk north to 14th and Main, walk across Main Avenue, and down the embankment to the museum.

Where to Find Us

The museum entrance, Carlton Family Science Education Center, and our complimentary parking is via 12th Street and Camino Del Rio, the same entrance for River City Hall and the Fire House.

Museum Parking

Limited complimentary parking is available via 12th Street and Camino Del Rio. Simply drive around River City Hall and the Fire House, then follow the signs to the museum. Visitors to the museum are encouraged to walk, bike, paddle, and carpool.

note: Visitors are asked to NOT park in neighbor businesses' parking lots. (Some short term parking is available along the Animas River Trail, adjacent to the Fire House and River City Hall.) If you park off west 14th Street at the Riverside Design Center, your car might be towed or used in an experiment.
